He actually was a demon blooded, but didn't know it. Our GM really liked to screw with folks and when this particular fellow said "Nope I just want to be normal" our GM KNEW he wasn't going to be able to keep up and "added" a little something to him that he knew the player wouldn't be mad about once he found out.
It was great and a ton of fun to play with, but sadly that game is on hold (has been for awhile). Maybe someday we will pick it back up again, but we will see.
Your GM sounds like how my fiance is sometimes... right now we're stuck in a dream, made by the Fae, where we are all mortal... Gods it sucks having like... no charms, no doubles on 10s and no stunts... and well, being mortal... ^.^
